This website has been put together mainly to provide a repository forĀ the workshop files that I have prepared for SeniorNet Workshops, so that the workshop participants can download them later and study them at their leisure in their own homes. The resources section of the website will be extended over time to provide other materials that will be of use to you as you operate your computers and cruise the internet.
The files are also available FREE to any person who wishes follow the step by step procedures.
The website is called “Seniors On Line Today” because it is directed at Senior citizens who need a little guidance and help when going on line.
Seniors are by nature cautious people and there has been a lot of misinformation put about by the news media and others about the issues of privacy and identity theft, but as with all things a few commonsense precautions can make all the difference and give one the confidence to explore our wonderful world made available by the internet.
I have been involved in PC computing since the late 1980′s, however computing goes back much further than that. In 1980 I was able play with an early model Commodore and I saw a computer in the UK in 1969 which occupied a whole building. Today’s PC’s have as much power as that did then.
It has only really been over the past few years that I have really begun to explore the internet with a mind to earn some extra pocket money from Internet Marketing and this has led to Facebook as a suitable medium.
This site is largely non-commercial, but from to time I will review products which you might useful, and if you buy I will earn a small commission.
I hope you enjoy the Workshops and this site as much as I have in preparing them and delivering them.
Please don’t forget to click the like “Button” on Facebook.
Thank you
